Program and Curriculum Redesign
New generations of students require updated lesson standards, different approaches to experiential learning, technological inclusion, and many more revamps. Curriculums should reflect the many different learning styles and showcase how FUN outdoor education and science can be.
Conservation Photography
Have an outreach event, volunteer service learning project, classroom experience, restoration project, or other conservation-focused outings you’d like to document? Let me know how I can help!
Science Communication
Regardless of the topic you’re discussing, the format you’re communicating with, and the targeted audience, science should be approachable and accessible. Understanding science leads to more informed decision-making and empowers people to care. Let’s collaborate on your science communication needs for print media, content creation, infographics, and outreach!
Program Assessments
Assessments can provide educators with powerful insights into how a program impacts students. Insights can allow an organization to address possible gaps and create more fulfilling learning experiences with equity in mind. Recommendations are provided on how to move forward to make a positive learning experience for educators and students.
Educational Workshops
Workshops will focus on engaging in learning through place-based education. Students will interact with the world and be guided through inquiry-based instruction to learn. We focus on making science and learning more digestible and fun.
Presentations
Whether it’s to teach students about fish and wildlife, have an expert on a conference panel, chat on a podcast, or co-host an event, we have stories to tell.

While Grayling Education strives to intentionally incorporate a DEI lens through the work we do by leading by example and continually learning ourselves, we do not offer professional training. We appreciate invitations and opportunities to connect with community members and students! Since we are a small business, we can’t say yes to every opportunity, but we will try to attend (and happily do so) conferences and keynotes, present for your class, hop on a podcast, write a chapter for a textbook, or other means of sharing the work that we do.

“Grayling Education and Anna gave an awesome presentation for us! Attendees learned about using fly fishing as a vehicle for conservation, stewardship, and community building. Anna was engaging, personable, and approachable, and we enjoyed hosting her. Feedback from all the attendees was overwhelmingly positive! We look forward to having her back in the future!” -Miriam and Lucas, management at Orvis Seattle
-
“Anna took me fly fishing for the first time and showed me everything from how to tie a fly, choose a fly, cast, and de-hook a fish! Not only did I catch my first trout, but I gained a deep respect for the stream and its inhabitants. Anna is a great and patient instructor and makes for a great buddy in the river.” - Jason Davidoff
-
“Anna is a phenomenal educator who can engage her audience while facilitating highly informative and awe-inspiring lessons. I recently participated in a virtual education meeting about animal safety, surrounding habitat, behaviors, and characteristics. The presentation was creative and well-executed, fostering a supportive and enjoyable learning environment. I am grateful to Grayling Education for the world-class learning experience.” - Jimmie Batts
-
“Anna was very open and inviting, creating an inclusive space for young scientists to share their thoughts and feelings on identity and authenticity in science and science communication. Anna opened the door to these conversations that seem to be rarely talked about in the world of STEM.” -The Young Voices of Science (YVoS) Team
-
“Science is much more than data and results; it’s a compilation of a range of obstacles and unique personal experiences. In a space where many are taught to assimilate, Anna Le brought a workshop filled with validation and authenticity. She encouraged the YVoS cohort to connect with themselves and guided them to ways they could highlight themselves through their work. It was a privilege to witness!” - The YVoS Team
-
“Anna Le’s workshop on intersectionality and the importance of honoring other identities in our work lives invited much student engagement and vulnerable sharing both verbally and over the zoom chat feature. Anna read many of the students’ written responses out loud, acknowledging their stories and asking them to elaborate. While most of the YVoS expert presenters make space for students to share their thoughts, few have had the response we observed with Anna Le.” - The YVoS Team
-
“It was immediately apparent that Anna made participants feel comfortable through sharing her own vulnerabilities, which allowed other participants to feel comfortable matching her level of openness. This led to an incredibly special and valuable workshop.” - The YVoS Team
